Charlie Pearson - Bass
Charlie was born and bred in Barrow-in-Furness on the southern tip of the Lake District in the North West of England and first grabbed a bass in early 1971 so that he could accompany his friends playing classic rock on their guitars.
He spent the next four years honing his skills in a teenage garage band, copying favourite lines from the likes of Jack Bruce, Andy Fraser and Roger Glover.
Charlie then, rather strangely, decided to take a short coffee break from playing, that turned into a 32 year-long sabbatical before his wife eventually persuaded him to return to the bass in 2007.
Surprisingly he remembered some of those classic lines from 1972 and in an effort to make up for lost time now requires an anaesthetic to remove the bass from his fingers.
From 2010 he played and gigged with the blues rock trio 'Hard Rain' and began work with the embryonic 'Alfie' in May 2012.
Charlie left 'Alfie' in March 2017.
